Add the vanilla extract and stir.<br>Start with the flour mixture and finish with the buttermilk. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture alternately. Stir just until incorporated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour batter into each cupcake liner halfway, top with a dollop of peach preserves, and repeat until the liners are three-quarters filled.<br>A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean after 18 to 20 minutes of baking. Allow the cupcakes to cool fully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beat the milk, cream cheese, and powdered sugar in a small bowl until smooth and creamy.<br>Apply the cream cheese mixture to the cooled cupcakes.
