{"id":1979,"date":"2025-01-25T18:41:43","date_gmt":"2025-01-25T18:41:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/boodiz.com\/?p=1979"},"modified":"2025-01-25T18:41:44","modified_gmt":"2025-01-25T18:41:44","slug":"southern-style-honey-butter-cornbread-poppers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/boodiz.com\/?p=1979","title":{"rendered":"Southern-Style Honey Butter Cornbread Poppers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the Cornbread Poppers:<br>One cup of yellow cornmeal<br>Half a cup of all-purpose flour<br>1\/4 cup of sugar, granulated<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two tsp baking powder<br>Half a teaspoon salt and half a cup of milk<br>1\/4 cup melted unsalted butter<br>One large egg and two tablespoons of honey.<br>Half a cup of fresh, frozen, or canned, drained corn kernels<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the Glaze with Honey Butter:<br>Two tablespoons of honey and 1\/4 cup melted unsalted butter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To Prepare the Poppers with Cornbread:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lightly grease a mini muffin tray and preheat the oven to 375\u00b0F (190\u00b0C).<br>Mix the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a medium-sized basin.<br>Combine the egg, honey, melted butter, and milk in a separate bowl and stir until thoroughly blended.<br>Stir just until mixed after adding the wet components to the dry ingredients. Add the corn kernels and fold.<br>Using a spoon, fill each small muffin tin about 3\/4 of the way to the top.<br>A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean after 12 to 15 minutes of baking, or until the sides are brown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Honey Butter Glaze Recipe:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Combine the honey and melted butter in a small bowl and stir until smooth.<br>As soon as the cornbread poppers are heated from the oven, brush them with the glaze.<br>Serve warm, with additional honey butter available for dripping or dipping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ten minutes for preparation; fifteen minutes for cooking; and twenty-five minutes for the entire process<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each popper has 110 kcal.
