{"id":2074,"date":"2025-03-03T16:56:01","date_gmt":"2025-03-03T16:56:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/boodiz.com\/?p=2074"},"modified":"2025-03-03T16:56:02","modified_gmt":"2025-03-03T16:56:02","slug":"indian-fry-bread-tacos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/boodiz.com\/?p=2074","title":{"rendered":"Indian Fry Bread Tacos"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Soft and Fluffy Indian Fry Bread Tacos<br><\/strong>Ingredients:<br>For Fry Bread:<br>Two cups of all-purpose flour<br>Half a teaspoon of salt<br>One spoonful of baking powder<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One cup of warm water<br>Using vegetable oil to fry<br>Regarding toppings:<br>Two cans (15 oz) of rinsed and drained pinto beans<br>One tablespoon of olive oil<br>One 4-ounce can Green chilies<br>Half a teaspoon of cumin<br>Half a teaspoon of salt<br>1\/4 tsp white or black pepper<br>1\/4 tsp onion powder<br>Lean ground beef, one pound<br>Two tablespoons of seasoning for tacos<br>One-fourth cup of hot water<br>preferred taco-style toppings (such as sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, etc.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instructions:<br>Prepare the bread for frying:<br>Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Stir with warm water until well blended. Rest after covering with a fresh towel.<br>Get the toppings ready:<br>In a big pot, heat the olive oil over low heat. Add onion powder, cumin, green chiles, pinto beans, and salt and pepper. Cover, stir thoroughly, and simmer over low heat, stirring regularly, for 10 minutes.<br>Prepare the ground beef by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ground beef should be browned after cooking it in a skillet over medium heat. Empty the fat. Add 1\/4 cup water and taco seasoning. Simmer, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes.<br>Cook the bread:<br>In a big pot, heat 2 inches of vegetable oil to 350\u00b0F (175\u00b0C). Separate the dough into four portions. Each component should be pressed into a circle that is 1\/2 inch thick. Each item should be fried until both sides are golden brown. Use a wire rack to drain.<br>Put the tacos together:<br>Put your preferred taco toppings, beans, and seasoned beef on top of each fried bread.
