3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1 1\u20442 cups milk
1 teaspoon salt
A pinch of red pepper
1 cup grated sharp cheddar
1 1\u20442cup grated cheese, to sprinkle<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let sit for a minute.
Add all the cold milk and mix.
Season with salt and cayenne.
Cook the sauce on low, stirring occasionally, until smooth and cooked through.
Reduce the heat and add the cheese and stir.
Place half of the mashed potatoes in a greased baking dish.

Repeat with the second half of the potatoes and cheese sauce.
Sprinkle the remaining cheese.
Sprinkle some red pepper powder for color.
Bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0F.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
