Instructions
- Get the pretzel base ready.
Set the oven temperature to 175°C (350°F).
Combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and crushed pretzels in a bowl.
Firmly press the mixture into a 9 x 9-inch baking pan that has been oiled.
After 8 to 10 minutes of baking, take the dish out of the oven and let it cool fully. - Create the Layer of Caramel
Heat the butter, heavy cream, and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat.
Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring constantly.
Cook until thickened, 4 to 5 minutes.
After turning off the heat, mix in the vanilla essence.
After the pretzel crust has cooled, evenly cover it with the caramel and place it in the refrigerator for half an hour to set.
- Include the chocolate garnish.
In a bowl that is safe to use in the microwave, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips by heating them for 30 seconds at a time while stirring until they are smooth.
Cover the caramel layer with melted chocolate.
Melt the white chocolate chips and sprinkle them on top if you’d like. - Cool and Present
The chocolate should harden completely after at least an hour in the refrigerator.
