Ingredients:
One ripe banana
Half a cup of powdered sugar
Half a cup of melted butter
One cup of all-purpose flour and one-sixth scoop of baking soda
Half a teaspoon of salt
Directions:
Warm up the oven:
Set the oven temperature to 175°C (350°F). To avoid sticking, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Get the wet ingredients ready:
The ripe banana should be mashed until it’s smooth in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
To the mashed banana, add the melted butter and granulated sugar. Stir until thoroughly blended.
Mix the dry ingredients together:
Mix the baking soda, salt, and all-purpose flour in a different basin.
Stir gently until just incorporated, then gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture. To keep the cookies soft, don’t overmix.
Form the cookies:
Drop dough dollops onto the prepared baking sheet using a spoon or cookie scoop, leaving about 2 inches between each drop to allow for spreading.
Bake:
After preheating the oven, put the baking sheet in and bake it for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the tops are set and the edges are golden brown.
Chill and serve:
After two minutes of cooling on the baking sheet, move the cookies to a wire rack to finish cooling.
Warm or room temperature, these cookies are perfect.
Remarks:
Use Overripe Bananas: Your cookies will be sweeter and more flavorful if you use riper bananas.
enhance Mix-Ins: Before baking, try incorporating chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or shredded coconut into the dough to enhance texture and taste.
Storage: Keep the chilled cookies at room temperature for up to three days in an airtight container.
