INGREDIENTS:
1 ¼ cup white sugar (250 g)
1 cup butter (230 g)
3 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 ½ cups flour (300 g)
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon tartar cream
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350F, sprinkle 2 baking sheets with oil or cover parchment paper.
Whisk the butter and sugar until creamy.
Add the yolks and stir in the vanilla.
Add the flour, baking soda and cream of tartar. Mix until smooth.
Roll out walnut-sized bread balls and place on a 2-inch baking sheet.
Bake for 10-11 minutes until the top of the cookie cracks. Remove from the oven, let the cookies cool and remove from the mold.
