Strawberry Citrus Iced Tea

Ingredients:

4 cups water
4 black tea bags
1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
1 orange, sliced into rounds
1 lemon, sliced into rounds
¼ cup honey or sugar (optional, or to taste)
Ice cubes (as needed, for serving)
Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Directions:

Steep the Tea:
Four cups of water should be brought to a roaring boil in a medium saucepan. Take off the heat and put the tea bags in. Depending on how strong you want your tea, let it steep for five to seven minutes. A stronger flavour will result from a longer steep duration.
Prepare the Fruit:
Wash the lemon, orange, and strawberries while the tea steeps. Slice the orange and lemon into thin rounds after hulling and slicing the strawberries.

Sweeten the Tea (Optional):
Tea bags should be taken out of the saucepan. While the tea is still warm, stir in the sugar or honey and let it dissolve thoroughly. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature after adding sugar.
Combine in a Pitcher:
Combine the sliced lemon, orange, and strawberries with the chilled tea in a big pitcher.
Put in the fridge to infuse:
For at least an hour, keep the pitcher covered and chilled. This enhances the tea’s flavour by allowing the fruits to absorb it. Refrigerate for a few hours if you want more fruitiness.

Serve:
Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the top.
Garnish:
Add fresh mint leaves to each glass for a burst of aroma and a beautiful presentation. Enjoy your refreshing homemade iced tea!
