One Pillsbury pizza crust tube
8 deli ham slices
Ten Genoa salami slices
Twelve sandwich pepperoni slices
Eight pieces of mozzarella or provolone cheese
(You could also use shredded cheese, of course.)
Two teaspoons of butter
Two minced garlic gloves
Two teaspoons of parsley, chopped
Three tablespoons of cheese, Parmesan
In the microwave, melt the butter and stir in the Parmesan cheese, parsley, and minced garlic. Put aside
I used parchment paper to line my baking pan.
Extend the pizza crust until it about fills the baking pan.
Put the deli meats in layers. I ate the ham first, then the salami, and last the pepperoni.
Finally, add the cheese.
Make sure to properly seal the seam when you roll the Stromboli longwise.
Make sure to properly seal the ends. Shape the extra dough onto the Stromboli’s underside by pinching them.
Using a sharp knife, score the top many times to let the steam out during baking.
Spread the garlic butter mixture over the Stromboli.
Using whichever pizza crust you are using, bake the Stromboli according to the directions on the package.
I discovered that it takes the same amount of time to bake as a typical pizza. But you simply won’t parbake it the way the tube says to.
Although red sauce is a common ingredient in Stromboli, I prefer to dip my in it rather than eat it inside! If you want, you may definitely use it indoors!
Have fun!
