Banana Bread Brownies

Ingredients:
For the Banana Bread Bars:
One and a half cups of granulated sugar, one cup of sour cream, and one and a half cups of softened unsalted butter

Four ripe bananas, mashed; two big eggs; two teaspoons of vanilla essence; two cups of all-purpose flour; one teaspoon of baking soda; and one-sixth teaspoon of salt

To make the Brown Butter Glaze, combine: 3 tablespoons milk, 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract, 4 cups powdered sugar, and ½ cup unsalted butter.

Instructions:

  1. Grease a 10-by-15-inch baking sheet and preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Beat the eggs, butter, sour cream, and sugar in a big bowl until smooth. Mix thoroughly after adding the vanilla extract and mashed bananas.
  3. Add the salt, baking soda, and flour and stir until just incorporated. Evenly distribute the batter onto the baking sheet that has been prepared.
  4. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean after 20 to 25 minutes of baking. Allow the bars to cool a little.

To prepare the Glaze with Brown Butter:

  1. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Keep heating for another 5 to 7 minutes or until the butter is golden brown and smells nutty.
  2. Turn off the heat and whisk in the milk, vanilla, and powdered sugar until smooth. You can adjust the glaze’s consistency by adding a bit more milk if it’s too thick.
  3. Evenly cover the warm banana bars with the glaze. Cut the bars into squares after letting the glaze set.
