A moist, buttery, and nutty delicacy, Sweet Alabama Pecan Bread is ideal for parties, special occasions, or anytime you’re in the mood for a hearty handmade dessert.
Every mouthful of this bread, which is loaded with crunchy nuts and a touch of sweetness, feels like a cozy Southern embrace!
Ingredients:
Half a cup of melted unsalted butter
One cup of sugar granules
Half a cup of brown sugar
Two huge eggs
One teaspoon of vanilla extract
One cup of buttermilk
One and a half cups of all-purpose flour
One teaspoon of baking powder
Half a teaspoon of baking soda
1 cup of chopped pecans and 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Line a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper or grease and flour it.
Combine the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and melted butter in a big bowl and whisk until smooth.
Add the vanilla essence after beating in the eggs one at a time.
Add the buttermilk and stir until well blended.
Mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a another basin. Until just incorporated, gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Don’t mix too much.
Make sure the chopped pecans are uniformly distributed by gently folding them in.
After the loaf pan is ready, pour the batter into it and level the top. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean after 50 to 60 minutes of baking.
After letting the bread cool in the pan for ten or so minutes, move it to a wire rack to finish cooling.
Rich and nutty, this Sweet Alabama Pecan Bread is ideal for breakfast, dessert, or as a snack with tea or coffee.
