INGREDIENTS:
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon baking soda
1 stick unsalted butter
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons vanilla

Add butter and sugar to the bowl of your mixer and mix at high speed until it becomes foamy (4-5 minutes).
Turn the mixer to medium speed and add the egg and vanilla extract and beat until well combined.
Finally, turn the mixer to high speed and then add the flour to the mixture three times.
Once the dough is thoroughly mixed, turn off the mixer and remove the dough from the mixture, place it in a resealable bag and place it in the refrigerator for at least an hour to set the dough.
Once dough is firm, remove it from the refrigerator and preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
Cover your with baking paper.
Take a measuring spoon, take a spoonful of cookie dough and roll it into a ball. to flatten a bit you should press the center.
Do the same for the rest, leaving at least 1/2 inch between each ball.
Bake for 9-11 minutes until the edges are golden brown and remove from the oven.

If you want to keep the interesting shape for a while longer, you can also freeze the tea cakes; Make sure they are well packaged so that they will be in good condition within three months.
