INGREDIENTS:
One container of German chocolate cake mix or Devil’s food chocolate
One fourteen-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
One jar of caramel topping
One 8-ounce tub of Cool Whip
Four to five Snickers bars (you can also use mini Reese’s, Skor, or Heath bars)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Prepare the cake:
As directed on the packaging, prepare the cake mix and bake it in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Give the cake five minutes or so to cool.
Holes for Poking:
Make holes in the cake using the handle of a wooden spoon.
Add the caramel and sweetened condensed milk:
Allow the cake to cool until it is warm, approximately half an hour.
Allow the sweetened condensed milk to soak into the holes of the cake by slowly pouring it over it.
Over the cake, drizzle the caramel topping.
Let the cake cool:
Allow the cake to cool fully. To expedite the cooling process, you can
place it in the refrigerator; however, make sure to properly cover it.
Add candy and cool whip on top:
Spread the Cool Whip evenly on top of the cake after it has cooled fully.
Add additional caramel on top and garnish with chopped Snickers bars or any other candy of your choosing.
