INGREDIENTS:
1 pound of casing-free Italian sausage
1 bag (19 oz) frozen cheese tortellini
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
Half a cup of chicken broth
One cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
To taste, add salt and pepper.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Cook the Italian sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it up into little pieces as it browns. After cooking, drain any extra oil.
Put the chicken stock, marinara sauce, frozen tortellini, and cooked sausage in a crockpot. To combine everything, stir.
Cook for two to three hours on high or four to five hours on low.
Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses on top during the final half-hour of cooking. Let the cheese melt while covered.
Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
