Chocolate Banana Oat Cake Recipe

1½ cups (150 g) of oat flakes
150 grams (⅔ cup) of milk
Two eggs

Two mashed bananas
One gram of optional sweetener, such as honey or stevia, based on personal preference
One teaspoon (5 g) of baking powder
Half a cup (30 g) of cocoa powder
30 g (1 oz) chopped walnuts
30 g (1 oz) chopped or melted dark chocolate (for topping)

  1. Get the oats ready.
150 g (⅔ cup) of milk and 150 g of oat flakes should be combined in a small bowl. Give the oats ten minutes or so to soak. As a result, the oats become softer and may be easily incorporated into the cake mix, giving the cake a soft texture.
  2. Get the batter ready.
Mash two ripe bananas in a different bowl until a smooth, lump-free mixture forms. Bananas will naturally moisten and sweeten the cake.
Whisk together 1 g of optional sweetener and 2 eggs in a large mixing bowl. You might not need the extra sweetness if your bananas are extremely ripe. Adapt to your personal preferences.

To the egg mixture, add 5 g (1 tsp) of baking powder, 30 g (¼ cup) of cocoa powder, and the mashed bananas. Mix thoroughly until the batter is smooth and all the ingredients are mixed together.

  1. Mix the ingredients.
Add the oats to the banana and egg mixture when they have gotten softer in the milk. Make sure the batter has a uniform consistency by stirring the oats until they are completely mixed in.
  2. Include the walnuts

Add 30 grams (1 ounce) of chopped walnuts and fold. Together with the chocolate and banana, the walnuts provide a delightful crunch and nutty flavor.

  1. Cook
Set the oven temperature to 180°C (350°F).

To keep a cake pan from sticking, grease it or line it with parchment paper.
Evenly distribute the batter after pouring it into the prepared cake pan.
A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean after baking for 30 to 35 minutes. To the touch, the cake should feel firm but somewhat springy.

  1. Include chocolate.
Melt 30 g (1 oz) of dark chocolate and pour it over the cake after it has completely cooled. If you like a chunkier texture, you may also slice the dark chocolate and sprinkle it on top.

Serve
Add more chopped walnuts or other toppings, such as shredded coconut, fresh berries, or cocoa powder, as a decorative touch. Cut and savor!
