Ingredients:
One cup of white sugar and half a cup of melted butter
Two eggs
One teaspoon of vanilla extract
One and a half cups of all-purpose flour
One teaspoon of baking soda
Half a teaspoon salt and half a cup of sour cream
One cup of mashed bananas (about two to three ripe bananas)
Half a cup of optionally chopped walnuts
Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Set the oven’s temperature to 350°F (175°C). Coat a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan with oil.
Combine Wet Ingredients: Combine the sugar and melted butter in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly after adding the eggs and vanilla essence.
Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt in a another basin.
Mix Wet and Dry components: Add the dry components to the wet mixture little by little, stirring only until incorporated.
Add Bananas and Sour Cream: Until the batter is smooth, stir in the mashed bananas and sour cream. Add the chopped walnuts if you’d like.
Pour and Bake: Fill the loaf pan with the batter. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean after about 60 minutes of baking in a preheated oven.
Cool: After letting the banana bread cool in the pan for ten or so minutes, move it to a wire rack to finish cooling.
