INGREDIENTS:
Three cups of flour
Two teaspoons of butter
Seven grams of yeast for baking
Five teaspoons of sugar
One cup of milk
One egg
Half a teaspoon of salt, a tablespoon of cinnamon powder, and frying oil
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Place the yeast in a bowl, dilute it with lukewarm water, then add the flour and stir thoroughly. Make the dough by hand, if not with a bread machine or robot, then with courage!
- Add the egg, two tablespoons of sugar, and milk. Add the salt after that. The dough must be smooth after three minutes of work. The dough turns shiny when the soft butter is added.
- Form a ball, wrap in cling film, and let it to rise for an hour.
- The dough will double in bulk, form balls, create identically sized pieces, and take on any desired shape—in this case, braid!
- Place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and allow to rise for at least half an hour. The donuts are prepared for frying once they take volume.
- Cover with frosting, drain and roll in a combination of 3 tablespoons cinnamon sugar and ½ tablespoons cinnamon powder, or fry for 3 minutes on each side.
