Ingredients:
One pound of ground sausage, either mild or hot, based on personal preference
One 10-ounce can of softened cream cheese (8 ounces) Diced tomatoes and green chilies that have been thoroughly drained
Two cups of cheddar cheese, shredded
Half a cup of Bisquick or an other baking mix
Instructions:
Set the Oven’s Temperature to 375°F (190°C). Use silicone baking mats or parchment paper to line a baking pan.
Get the sausage mixture ready.
Combine the drained Rotel, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, Bisquick, and raw sausage in a large mixing bowl.
Using a spoon or your hands, thoroughly mix until everything is properly blended.
Form the Balls:
Form the dough into 1-inch balls and arrange them, about 1 inch apart, on the baking sheet that has been prepared.
Bake:
Bake the sausage balls in a preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
Serve:
Warm up and serve as an appetizer or snack. If preferred, serve with dipping condiments such as spicy mustard or ranch dressing.
Keep Any Leftovers:
Any leftovers can be kept in the fridge for up to three days in an airtight container. Before serving, reheat in the microwave or oven.
