Ingredients:
Four big eggs
3/4 cup of sugar
Half a teaspoon of salt
One teaspoon of vanilla extract
One-fourth teaspoon of nutmeg
Three glasses of warm whole milk
For the garnish, grind some cinnamon.
Instructions:
Set the oven’s temperature to 175°C (350°F).
Beat the eggs a little in a big basin.
Add nutmeg, vanilla extract, sugar, and salt. Stir thoroughly.
Add the warm milk slowly and stir until thoroughly mixed.
Fill a casserole dish with 1 1/2 quarts of the mixture. Lightly dust the top with ground cinnamon.
The casserole dish should be put in a bigger baking pan. To make a water bath, pour about 1 inch of boiling water into the bigger pan.
A knife inserted close to the center should come out clean after 45 to 60 minutes of baking in a carefully prepared oven.
After taking the custard out of the water bath, let it cool a little.
You can serve it warm or cold.
