Amish Sour Cream Cornbread
This rich and incredibly delicious Amish Sour Cream Cornbread is ideal for serving with roast chicken or stews. We’ve been addicted to this recipe ever since my Amish neighbor showed it to me!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 large eggs How to Make It:
- Grease an 8-inch square pan and preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Combine the dry ingredients.
- Whisk together wet ingredients in a another bowl.
- Mix both mixtures together, give it a good toss, and then pour it into the pan.
- Bake until golden, 20 to 25 minutes.
For added taste, try adding jalapeños, corn, or cheddar cheese!
