Cherry Pie Bars

Ingredients:
One cup softened butter, two cups sugar, and four eggs
1/4 tsp almond extract and 1 tsp vanilla extract
Three cups of all-purpose flour
One teaspoon salt and two 21-ounce cans filling for cherry pie
1 cup powdered sugar

½ tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
½ tsp almond extract (for glaze)
2 tbsp milk

Instructions:

Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 15x10x1-inch pan with non-stick spray.
beat Butter & Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add Eggs: Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each one is thoroughly absorbed before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla and almond extracts.
Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk the flour and salt together in a another basin. Add this dry combination gradually to the sugar and creamed butter, stirring until thoroughly blended.

To assemble the bars, equally distribute three cups of the batter on the bottom of the pan that has been prepared. Evenly distribute the cherry pie filling on top. Sprinkle the cherry filling with spoonfuls of the leftover batter.

Bake: A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean after 30 to 35 minutes of baking. Adjust the baking time if you’re using a 9×13-inch pan; it might take longer.

Cool: Place the bars on a wire rack to cool fully.
Get the glaze ready: Mix the milk, almond extract, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar in a small bowl and whisk until smooth.

Drizzle & Serve: Drizzle the glaze over the bars when they have cooled. Cut into squares and serve after letting the glaze set.
These mouthwatering cherry pie bars are ideal for potlucks, parties, or simply as a sweet treat at home! Have fun!
