Ingredients:
2 cups cooked ham, finely chopped or ground
1/3 cup mayonnaise (adjust to taste)
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon finely chopped celery
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional garnish: chopped parsley or chives
Instructions:
Prepare the Ham:
Finely chop or grind the cooked ham using a food processor or a sharp knife.
Mix the Dressing:
In a medium mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Stir until well blended.
Mix the Ingredients:
Put the sliced ham, sweet pickle relish, onion, and celery in the dish. Combine everything until it’s perfectly uniform.
Season with salt and pepper to taste:
Check the flavor of the dish and season with additional salt and black pepper as needed. Depending on how creamy you like it, adjust the mayonnaise.
Chill and Serve:
Refrigerate the covered basin for at least an hour to allow the tastes to blend.
If preferred, serve cold with chopped chives or parsley as a garnish.
On sandwiches, with crackers, or as a tasty complement to salads, this adaptable spread can be savored.
