Longhorn Steakhouse Parmesan Chicken

Ingredients:
Four skinless and boneless chicken breasts
One cup of Parmesan cheese, grated
One cup of mozzarella cheese, shredded

A single cup of bread crumbs

  • Two large eggs – 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    1/4 cup of milk
  • Two minced garlic cloves
    One teaspoon of Italian seasoning, dry
    Two tablespoons of olive oil, half a teaspoon of salt, and one-fourth teaspoon of black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Grease a baking dish with olive oil and preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Put the bread crumbs, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese in a shallow dish.
  3. Beat the eggs and milk in a another shallow bowl.
  4. In a third shallow dish, add the flour.
  5. Shake off extra flour after dipping each chicken breast in it.
  6. Coat the floured chicken with the bread crumb mixture after dipping it in the egg mixture.
  7. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  8. Cook the chicken breasts until golden brown, 3–4 minutes per side.
  9. Place the chicken in the baking dish that has been prepared.
  10. Combine the mozzarella cheese, garlic, and the remaining 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese.
  11. Cover the chicken breasts with the cheese mixture.
  12. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in a preheated oven, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling and the chicken is cooked through.
  13. Enjoy right away after serving!

Notes:

  1. For a full supper, serve with garlic mashed potatoes on the side.
  2. For optimal flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan.
  3. Dip the chicken twice in the egg and bread crumb mixture for a more crispy coating.
  4. Before serving, garnish with fresh parsley.
