Glow in the Dark Moonlit Cupcakes

Ingredients:
For the Cupcakes:
One and a half cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ teaspoon of baking powder

Half a teaspoon of salt
Two large eggs, ½ cup softened unsalted butter, and ¾ cup granulated sugar
Vanilla extract, two teaspoons
Half a cup of tonic water (to create a glow)
Half a cup of milk

For the Glow-in-the-Dark Frosting:
One cup of softened unsalted butter
Three cups of powdered sugar
A teaspoon of vanilla essence and a quarter cup of tonic water (for shine)
For colorful layers, use neon food coloring in shades of green, pink, or blue.

Instructions:

Line a muffin tray with liners and preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Put aside.
Cream the sugar and butter in a different large dish until they are light and creamy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and stir.
The dry components should be added first, followed by the tonic water/milk mixture, in that order. Stir just until incorporated.
To create various glowing layers, divide the batter into different bowls and apply neon food coloring to each one.

To create a cool look, spoon the tinted batter into the cupcake liners, layering the colors.
A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean after 18 to 20 minutes of baking. Allow to cool fully.

Beat the butter until it’s smooth for the frosting. Add the powdered sugar gradually and stir thoroughly.
Beat till light and fluffy after adding the tonic water and vanilla extract.
To create a luminous look, use neon food coloring. Pipe into cupcakes that have cooled.

How It Glows: Quinine, which is included in tonic water, glows when exposed to blacklight! Serve these cupcakes in a low-light setting with a blacklight close by for the best results.
