Blackberry Margarita Smash

A cup of fresh black pepper, plus a little from the top

2 tablespoons of sugar, or more or less to taste – 100 ml of tequila, a good reposado for a velvety wood taste.

  • Cointreau or triple sec, two ounces orange liqueur Two lemons squeezed just before use – Crushed ice to taste

  • A few fresh mint leaves, about a handful, to serve as garnish Sprinkle a little salt or sugar into each glass, if desired.
  1. Puree blackberries and sugar in a cocktail shaker until the sugar begins to dissolve.
  2. Mix blackberries with lime juice, orange liqueur and tequila. Add crushed ice to the shaker.
  3. Place the lid on the shaker and shake well for 15 seconds or until completely cooled.
  4. If necessary, use a lemon slice to wrap the glass and place it in a bowl with salt or sugar.
  5. Place crushed ice in each rimmed glass.
  6. Divide the blackberry-margarita mixture thinly into the prepared glasses.
  7. Finish with fresh mint sprigs, lemon slices and more blackberries.
